Former Longwood men's soccer standout Josh Hanratty '19 joined the Lancer coaching staff in September, 2019 as an assistant coach.
An All-Big South midfielder who started 32 of 34 games in his two seasons as a Lancer, Hanratty assists in all aspects of the Longwood program from scouting and recruiting to academic support and general quality control.
Hanratty hails from London, England where he played at Corfe Hills School and was a member of the Southampton FC Academy. He began his collegiate playing career at UNC Pembroke where he played from 2015-16 before joining the Lancers as a junior beginning in 2017. In his two seasons, he amassed five goals, one assist and more than 2,000 minutes on the pitch. As a senior, he scored four goals, all on penalty kicks, including one game-winner.
