Jessi Znosko

Jessi Znosko is in her third year as the assistant cross country coach in 2015-16. An Aerobics and Fitness Association of America certified fitness instructor, Znosko also teaches group fitness courses with campus recreation and serves the Longwood Cormier Honors College as the coordinator of student support and advising.

Znosko travels with the Longwood’s cross country to each competitions, providing head coach Catherine Hanson coaching support. With her help, both teams achieved two top-tier finishes in the regular season and competed against some of the best runners in the country at the Virginia Tech Invitational. Znosko has a long history in athletics, beginning as a high school track and field, swimming and field hockey athlete. She held 12 varsity letters from the three sports and spent over 16 years in the competitive swimming world. Znosko has also spent several years as a marathoner and half-Iron Man competitor.

With the campus recreation department, Znosko teaches spin and BodyPump courses at Longwood. She is also licensed in Sports Nutrition from the Health Sciences Academy. A 2006 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Znosko earned her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology before moving on to earn a Master’s in Biology from Chatham University in 2009. Znosko’s husband, Wade, also works for Longwood as an Assistant Professor of Biology.
