Melvin Adams overcame many obstacles in his life.  Growing up in the poverty of the Houston hood. Being told by his first college coach that he would never amount to anything in basketball because he was too short, couldn’t get his jump shot off, and was redshirted.  He transferred to a Division III school in California where he was an two-time All-American, led the nation in scoring, and helped his team win a national championship. He played basketball professionally with the Harlem Globetrotters. Currently, he travels the country as a motivational speaker discussing life strategies and sharing his Christian faith with others.  He is married and has two sons and currently resides in Texas.
