Dr. Micah McCreary, American Council on Education Fellow at Longwood University

FARMVILLE, Va.-- Longwood University recognized 106 outstanding student-athletes recently at its annual Athletics-Academics Awards Banquet in the Lee Grand Room of the Dorrill Dining Hall. The yearly dinner and awards ceremony honors those student-athletes who have earned a 3.0 or higher GPA for two consecutive semesters, or are freshmen and/or transfers who earned a 3.0 or higher GPA during the recent fall semester. Additionally, 34 faculty and staff members of the University were recognized for their support, understanding, and guidance with these honored student-athletes.
The featured speaker for this year's banquet was Dr. Micah McCreary, American Council on Education Fellow at Longwood University. Dr. McCreary has also been an Associate Professor of Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University for the past seven years.
