Fall 2008: Finished 2-4 overall in singles ...  Winner of the Flight B consolation draw at the Longwood Inviational.

2007-08: Runner up in the Flight C consolation draw at the Hampton Roads Invitational ... Earned an 8-5 singles record during the spring season, going a perfect 3-0 from the No. 4 spot ... Named to the All-Independent Second-Team in singles ... Earned All-Independent Second-Team honors from the No. 3 doubles spot with teammate Brittany Huddleston, earning a 3-0 record.

2006-07: Flight B singles semi finalist at the Hampton Roads Invitational at Virginia Beach ... Helped the team in the middle line up in singles and posted an 8-4 doubles record at #3.

2005-06: Team doubles MVP posting a 9-8 record ... Finished season with 8-13 singles record ... Flight B doubles semifinalists in singles at the Hampton Roads Invitational at Virginia Beach.

Before Longwood: Four-year stand out at Kellam High School ... Two-time MVP and team captain ... Earned Coach’s Award as a freshman ... Was #30 in the Mid-Atlantic Section and #4 in Virginia for the 16 and under age group ... Also participated in soccer and basketball.

Personal: Daughter of Gordon Melson and Joan Frank ... Mother played tennis at VCU ... Majoring in kinesiology/exercise science.
