High School: Lettered in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track at Powhatan High School…captained the cross country squad as a senior…clocked a personal-best 5K of 21:24 as a senior…also set PRs in the 1,600 (6:03) and 800m (2:43) as a senior…graduated at the top of her class…a member of the National Honor Society, as well as the National Art Honor Society, English Honor Society and Math Honor Society…served as treasurer of the Math Honor Society and as social activities chairman of the English Honor Society…won second place in the Community Problem-Solving State Bowl in 2017…put together an extensive volunteer resume…among those initiatives were “It’s a KnowBrainer,” a community problem-solving project in which she surveyed students and parents in the community to establish the disconnect in knowledge of concussions between adults and children…went beyond simply learning about the disconnect to teach community members through interactive lessons and other educational initiatives…initiated a refabrication of the Powhatan Middle School track…volunteered in numerous positions at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church…also volunteered at various cross country and camps and races.
