Biography

2015: Returning two-year starter for the Lancers who has appeared in 59 games while starting 46...named team captain for the 2015 season...has nine career goals and seven career assists...one of the fittest athletes on the team...a quick, crafty and tireless worker in the midfield and up front...has the unique ability to see the field and put herself in pockets of space to off-balance defenses...highly motivated and capable of scoring goals in bunches.

2014: Started all 19 games and played over 1,300 minutes, the second most of any Lancer forward behind All-Big South selection Samantha Phillips...scored four goals and dished out four assists...put 14 of her 21 shots on goal for a .667 SOG percentage...put her only penalty kick in the back of the net...scored the game-winner in the 42nd minute in a 2-0 win against Winthrop (9/27)...followed that goal with another in a 6-1 win over Francis Marion off a penalty kick (9/30)...scored and dished out an assist in a 4-0 shutout over VMI (9/3).

2013: Started 18 of 20 matches … scored two goals with two assists for a total of six points… Longwood Scholar-Athlete Award.

2012: Big South All-Freshman Team … started 10 of 20 matches with three goals and one assist for seven points … two game-winning goals … Longwood Scholar-Athlete Award … Big South Presidential Honor Roll.

High School: Four-year team member at Chantilly … All-State, All-Region, All-District, All- Met by The Washington Post and team captain as a senior …  Concord District Player of the Year as a senior … All-Region, All-District and All-Met by The Washington Post as a sophomore and junior … team MVP as a junior … helped CHS to the 2009 Virginia Group AAA State Championship as a freshman.

Personal: Daughter of Andrea and John Colella … brother (John) plays baseball at the College of the Holy Cross … played for Washington Spirit U-20 team during summer 2013 … played for Chantilly Burn club team, helping club to five state championships ... accepted into Cormier Honors College at Longwood.
