CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Longwood women's tennis team dropped its second-round matchups in the 2024 ITA Atlantic Regional at Virginia's Sheridan Snyder Tennis Center on Saturday.
Karina Rizvanoza fell in her round of 32 singles encounter with Emily Tannenbaum from Navy, 6-2, 6-2.
In doubles, Feline van Eijkelenburg and Oriana Izarra lost to Francesca Davis and Hedda Gurholt of William and Mary, 8-4.
Rizvanova closed the Lancers' appearance in the tournament with an 8-1 defeat to the fourth-ranked team of Danielle Hack and Kallista Liu from Maryland.
Longwood returns to action Friday-Sunday, Oct. 25-27 in the first-ver Big South Individual Tennis Championship in Rock Hill, S.C.
