RADFORD, Va. – Longwood women's tennis traveled west to take on in-state and conference foe Radford in the team's second Big South dual of the year. The Lancers dominated from start to finish, picking up a perfect 7-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Longwood (6-9) got the dual off on the right foot, picking up the first point in doubles play. The Lancers not only won the doubles point, but claimed victories at the No. 1, 2, and 3 spots over Radford (1-11).

Singles play began with a hotly-contested match at No. 1, as
Emma Nurgazieva battled to a 7-6, 6-4 victory. Things didn't get easier for
Maria Saez at No. 2, who earned a win after winning a tiebreaker in the first set.

Karina Rizvanova and
Sophia Marchetta took care of business at No. 3 and No. 4, clinching the dual meet win for the Lancers. With only two matches remaining, the Lancers dug deep to complete the sweep, as
Wiktoria Czerny fought to a third set victory and
Nina Hederich was victorious 6-1, 7-5.
