FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood women's soccer had a quartet of players earn All-Big South honors on Tuesday afternoon.

Peyton Curney and Brook Bonner were named First Team All-Conference, and
Alex Dinger was named Second Team All-Conference.
Julia Gill rounded out the group as an Honorable Mention All-Conference, and
Alayna Palamar was named to the All-Academic Team. In addition, Curney also earned an All-Freshman Team nod.

Curney was electric at the top of the formation, and the freshman was Longwood's leading goal scorer. She tied for fourth in the Big South in points (13) behind five goals and three assists. Her five goals tied for fourth in the league, and she was second among freshman in the conference in goals.

The dynamic forward came through in the clutch repeatedly for the Lancers, and three of her five goals were game-winners, which was tied for first in the Big South. She was the five-time Big South Freshman of the Week, which was the most in conference history since the Big South began handing out the award.

Bonner helped the Longwood back line be one of the toughest to score against in the Big South. The Lancers were third in goals against average (1.06). She helped the Lancers rack up five shutouts on the season, which was tied for fourth in the Big South.

Even as she helmed the back line, she also had a pair of assists. The junior also started 16 matches and played in 17, and she was fourth on the team with 1,394 minutes.

Dinger served as an experienced pivot in the midfield. The senior was dependable and ever-present. She started all 17 matches and played 1,467 minutes, second-most on the team. She had one assist and played all 90 minutes in 12 of the 17 matches.

Gill teamed up with Curney up top, and the duo became a potent pair. Gill tallied four goals and one assist, and three of her goals came during conference action. She was second on the team with nine points, and she had a pair of game winners.

Palamar was named to the All-Academic team. In her time at Longwood, she has been named to the President's List three times for a perfect GPA, and she has a pair of Dean's List honors as well for a GPA between 3.50-3.99. On the pitch, Palamar was third on the team in minutes, and she had three assists. The senior started all 17 matches while playing 1,427 minutes.
