FARMVILLE, Va. – The last episode of Lancer Central for the spring semester is here.
In this week's episode, the Lancer Central crew highlights the success of the softball season as it sits on an 11 game win streak in the conference. They talk to the team about what the secret behind this mid-season success is coming from, and what they look forward to as the 2022 Big South Championship tournament approaches.
It has been a historic year overall for Longwood Athletics and the spring sports season is continuing with that trend.
Golf is preparing for post season play that will kick off April 20, and Lancer baseball has recorded one of its best starts in the Big South in program history under first year head coach
Chad Oxendine.
After half of the season played, both baseball and softball are currently sitting in second place in the Big South.
Lancer Central is entirely filmed, edited and produced by Longwood University Communications students. This week's episode is brought to you all by Kris Bryant, Trevin Bowles, Will Johnson, and Victoria Coleman alongside several other communication students. The show is filmed inside the department's state-of-the-art production studio located in French Hall. Lancer Central is a collaborative effort between the Communication Studies program and the Longwood Athletics Department.
