FARMVILLE, Va. – On this week's episode of Lancer Central, the team speaks to the women's program on what the focus is going into their final six games of the season.
Hard to believe the season is already winding down, but February is here and both Longwood programs are looking forward to making a run in late February leading into the 2022 Hercules Tire Big South Tournament hosted in Charlotte, N.C. on Mar. 1-7. Both the men and women's programs are amongst the top in the conference, with the men fending off opponents left and right trying to remain in first position, while keeping the clean record. The men have the date saved for this Thursday, Feb. 10 against USC Upstate where the team will be playing its first game of the year on ESPNU. The game will be in Willett Hall, and are looking to pack the place.
Along with all the hype behind basketball, men's and women's tennis have their seasons kicked off and underway, while softball and lacrosse are ready to get there's going this weekend. Lacrosse will open its season at UMBC on Saturday, and softball will be in the sunshine state for the Black and Gold Classic held at UCF.
Lancer Central is entirely filmed, edited and produced by Longwood University Communications students.
