FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood athletics and the Office of Alumni and Career Services have teamed up to make young Lancers the VIP treatment with a new group called Blue Crew.
 
Blue Crew, which is sponsored by Papa John's, is a kids club that is open to all children 12 years old and younger, and it costs just $15 per child.
 
Game-day swag, exclusive access to special athletic events, free admission to all home games and a personalized birthday card from Elwood are just a few of the benefits of joining Blue Crew. The goal is to show the youngest members of Lancer Nation how important they are.
 
"We know families are always looking for common interests and activities that will bring them together," said Nicole Perkins, senior director of alumni and career services. "The Blue Crew gives alumni parents a great way to share their love of Longwood—and Longwood athletics—with their children."
 
See the full schedule of games on the athletics calendar here. Admission is ticketed for home basketball games. Children five and under get in free, while tickets for children 6-12 are $4 for those not in the Blue Crew. Men's and women's basketball are the only sports that charge admission.
