FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood athletics and Papa John's Pizza have signed a sponsorship deal, the Longwood athletic department announced on Thursday.

As part of the deal, Papa John's Pizza will be involved with the Little Lancers Kids Club. Plus, pizza and sports always makes for a great combination, and fans can expect to see that show up at Lancer athletic contests throughout the spring with the Pizza Scream.
 
"Partnering with a national brand like Papa John's Pizza is a great move forward within our department," said Brian Rushing, Longwood's Assistant Athletics Director for Corporate & Community Relations and Marketing. "Franchise Operator Jason Badeaux and his staff are going to work hard to take care of our fans, and we will work hard to promote their effort."
 
The Farmville Papa John's is located at 1107 East Third Street, and it is open until midnight on Sunday through Thursday and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday night.
