NINETY SIX, S.C. – Both Emma Landis and Grace Huffman surged into the top-16, as Longwood moved up to sixth with one round to play in the Big South Championship at The Patriot at Grand Harbor.
 
Huffman was the low lancer of the day, firing a 73 (+1) to shoot up nine spots on the leaderboard in T-16th at 77-73—150 (+6). Huffman poured in two birdies, including on her final two holes to bring her total to eight in her first 36 holes.
 
Landis matched her at 15th, posting a second round score of 74 (+2) to end her second day at 76-74—150 (+6). Landis racked up 14 pars on Thursday, with a birdie and just three bogeys in a consistent showing.

Landis and Huffman led a Lancer squad that moved up to sixth by posting a second round score of 302 (+14), the fifth lowest score of the day and their second best round of the season. The team has tallied 102 pars and 21 birdies, while playing par five holes at 4.93 (-3), with Huffman leading the par five scoring barrage with an average of 4.50 (-4), the fourth best in the field.
 
Diana Domenech remained steady on the leaderboard on Thursday, firing a 75 (+3) to move up one spot to 20th. The Richmond, Va. native picked up three birdies, and has racked tournament totals of four birdies and 21 pars across 36 holes.
 
Freshman Annabelle Jennings fired an 80 (+8), as she slipped to T-33rd at 77-80—157 (+13). Bobbi Uhl followed at T-35th, posting scores of 78-80—158 (+14). All five Lancers remain in the top-35, as the consistent Lancers all sit within eight strokes of each other.
 
Longwood currently trails fourth-place Winthrop by 11 strokes, as they look to continue their ascent up the leaderboard—the top four programs at the end of stroke play will advance to match play to determine the champion.

The third and final round of stroke play will tee off on Friday, April 16^th with all the action tracked live on golfstat.com.
