Consistent Lancers Lift Longwood to Third Through Two Rounds at Kingsmill

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – In a consistent and strong showing from top-to-bottom in the Lancer lineup, Longwood women's golf wrapped up play in the first two rounds of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in third place with 18 holes to play.

As a team, Longwood posted scores of 316-310—626 (+50) across two rounds and 36 holes in a long day at the River Course at Kingsmill Resort. The Lancers were not phased by the grind, as all five golfers in their lineup currently rank 22
nd or higher in the 67 player field, including four in the top-15 and two in the top-10. The third-place ranking is their highest through two rounds since April 8, 2019 when they finished second in the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate.

Leading the Longwood charge is junior
Diana Domenech, who posted 78-77—155 (+11) to sit in T-8
th while six strokes off the lead. Her two birdies rank seventh in the field, while ranks tied for first in par three scoring (2.75).

Joining her at the top of the par three scoring list is freshman
Emma Landis, who continued her strong play in her debut campaign. She fired a pair of 78's as she sits 12
th in the field at 156 (+12) while ranking sixth in the field with 11 pars. Teammate
Bobbi Uhl ranks second in the field with 12 pars, as she finished her first two rounds at 82-76—158 (+14) and in T15, as her second-round 76 was the lowest score of the day for Longwood.

Grace Huffman was one of three Lancers to shoot below 80 twice, firing a 78-79—157 (+13) to rank T12 while matching Domenech for the team lead in birdies with two. Freshman
Annabelle Jennings made her collegiate debut on Monday, posting scores of 82-79—161 (+17) in a strong showing.

Longwood will look to finish strong on Tuesday, March 30 as they play their final round at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate.
