Winter Weather Forces Schedule Adjustments for Longwood Teams

FARMVILLE, Va. – Winter weather in the Southeast has forced a number of cancellations and postponements for several Longwood teams this weekend, both at home and on the road.
Scheduled events for women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, softball and men's and women's tennis have all been altered.
Women's basketball's Saturday matchup against Charleston Southern will now tip off at 3 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 7 p.m.
Men's and women's cross country will not travel to Radford, Va., for the Highlander Invitational that is scheduled for Friday at 1 p.m. Both Lancer teams will instead run a 5K next Saturday, Feb. 20, against Randolph in a dual meet.
The women's lacrosse season opener against Delaware State, originally scheduled for Saturday in Farmville, has been moved to Sunday at noon.
Women's soccer's season opener against Liberty, scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m., will now kick off at 4 p.m.
Softball's season-opening series at NC State, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Raleigh, N.C., has been condensed to a doubleheader on Sunday starting at 1 p.m.
Men's and women's tennis' road doubleheaders at Elon Saturday and at Gardner-Webb Sunday have been postponed. The makeup dates for those matches will be announced at a later time.
The Longwood men's and women's basketball doubleheader in Willett Hall Friday, and the women's game Saturday, all remain on schedule. The Lancer men tip off against Gardner-Webb at 4 p.m. Friday, followed by the women's game against Charleston Southern at 7 p.m. Saturday's women's game against the Buccaneers will also begin at 7 p.m.
