ARMVILLE, Va. -- The Longwood University women's soccer match against Charleston Southern on Saturday, October 19, at the Athletics Complex beginning at 2 p.m. will highlight the school's upcoming
Wounded Warrior Weekend, October 18-19. Saturday will feature a Memorial 5K run at 9 a.m. on the High Bridge Trail that will start and finish behind the Historic Farmville Train Station, and the LW3 Benefit Soccer Game will take place Friday evening at the Athletics Complex at 7 p.m. It will feature a 'Dream Team' of military members, family and friends of Wounded Warriors, and family, friends, and comrades of Army Capt. Adcock, Marine Sgt. Lamar, and Army Sgt. McConnell versus Longwood Faculty and Staff.
Longwood Wounded Warrior t-shirts are available for purchase for $15.00 in the lobby of Dorrill Dining Hall on October 17-18 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5 p.m.-7 p.m. T-Shirts will also be available for purchase at all associated events and all proceeds from shirt sales being donated to the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program.
