EMMITSBURG, Md. -- Longwood University women’s cross country runners competed at the Centennial Track Meet hosted by Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday, April 19, in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Sophomore Laura Bland/Las Vegas, Nev. (Palo Verde) led the Lancers with her first-place effort in the 5000, finishing in 20:30.86. Others competing for Longwood included freshman Paula Roberson/Glen Allen (Hermitage) (5000-3rd, 22:24.02), sophomore Jacquelyne Chantry/Williamsburg (Lafayette) (1500-4th, 5:02.91; 800-5th, 2:29.26), freshmen Natalie Auble/Fairfax (Fairfax) (800-7th, 2:37.79) and Lauren Kuhns/Fredericksburg (Riverbend) (1500-10th, 5:20.19), along with sophomore Melinda Lackore/Virginia Beach (First Colonial) (1500-13th, 5:38.53).
