Longwood Leading At Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational In Pennsylvania

Freshman Jed Rasnick (R) Opens With 73-69--142 In Pennsylvania Friday

LITTLESTOWN, Pa. – Longwood University fired rounds of 288 and 287 Friday in men’s golf for a 36-hole total of 575 to stand in first-place among 18 teams at the Mount St. Mary’s Spring Invitational in Pennsylvania. The Lancers are the defending champions at the 7,029-yard, par 72 Quail Valley Golf Club after last year’s winning three-day score of 881. Longwood will conclude final-round competition in the tournament on Saturday in Pennsylvania.

Longwood is being led by junior Scooter Buhrman/Fayetteville, N.C. (Jack Britt) (67-75) and freshman Jed Rasnick/Roanoke (Lord Botetourt) (73-69) with their respective two-round scores of 142. They are being followed by sophomore Adam Webb/Ridgeway (Magna Vista) (73-71--144), freshman Michael Young/Oakville, Ontario (Oakville Trafalgar) (75-72--147), along with senior Brett Chambers/Mount Sydney (Fort Defiance) (76-76--152).
