WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Longwood University Men’s tennis fell to Clemson 7-0 on Friday afternoon, after playing in a neutral site game in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Lancers fall to 5-7 on the season and return to action for another game in Winston-Salem, this time against Winston-Salem State at 3:30 p.m.

Falling in singles was junior Carlos Garcia de Andoain/Madrid, Spain (Liceo Sorolla ‘C’) at the #1 spot (1-6, 2-6). Junior Brandon Lindsley/Woodbridge (Woodbridge) fell at the #2 spot (3-6, 7-5, 7-10), while sophomore David Cardoso/Porto, Portugal (Externato Lumen) fell at #3 (3-6, 6-1, 7-10). At the #4 spot sophomore Billy Heird/York, Pa. (Dallastown) fell 1-6, 6-2, 4-6. Senior Mani Barajas-Alexander/Arlington (Bishop O’Connell) fell to Derek DiFazio (2-6, 2-6), while junior Austin Brawley/Virginia Beach (Frank W. Cox) fell at the #6 spot (1-6, 3-6).

In doubles Heird/Cardoso fell to Ike Belk/DiFazio 6-8 from the #1 spot. Lindsley and sophomore Andres Lazarte/Vienna (San Miguel) fell at the #2 spot 3-8, while Mani Barajas-Alexander/Garcia fell 5-8 at the #3 spot.
