DOVER, Del. -- Longwood University took a 2-0 women's soccer road victory at United Soccer Conference (USC) opponent Delaware State University Sunday afternoon in Dover, Delaware. The Lancers won their second consecutive match while improving their record to 8-5-2, 3-0-1 in the USC; the Hornets dropped to 3-10-1, 1-3 in the USC. Longwood is scheduled to play again on Wednesday, October 22, hosting Francis Marion University at the Athletics Complex in Farmville beginning at 7 p.m..

Marcia Biddle/Woodbridge (Gar-Field) played the duration in front of the net for the visitors with one save en route to posting her seventh shutout this fall. Courtney Haas played the whole contest in goal for Delaware State with 10 saves. Longwood now leads the series against the Hornets at 2-1 since first playing in 2006.
