FINAL RESULTS (PDF)

ITHACA, N.Y. – Longwood University shot a final round of 305 Sunday in men’s golf for 54-hole total of 885 (291-289-305) to finish second among 16 teams at the Big Red Invitational hosted by Cornell University at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Ithaca, New York. St. Bonaventure rallied past the Lancers, who had the 36-hole lead, to win with its 288-295-295--878 at the 6,890-yard, par 72 layout, while Dan Abbondandolo of Siena took medalist honors with his four-under par 70-73-69--212. Longwood will play again October 15-16 at the 54-hole Frank Landrey Intercollegiate hosted by Liberty University at the Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst.

Longwood was led by sophomore standout Adam Webb/Ridgeway (Magna Vista) with his 70-73-75--218 to tie for sixth-place among 85 golfers. Webb was followed by freshmen Jed Rasnick/Roanoke (Lord Botetourt) (71-74-75--220, t-9th) and Michael Young/Oakville, Ontario (Oakville Trafalgar) (72-73-78--223, t-14th), senior John Rosenstock/Midlothian (Midlothian) (78-69-77--224, t-19th), along with sophomore Greg Brouse/Leesburg (Heritage) (88-82-82--252, 83rd).
