FINAL RESULTS (PDF)

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Longwood University posted a final round of 301 Saturday in men’s golf for 54-hole total of 883 to finish third among 18 teams at the Rutgers University Invitational played at the Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway, New Jersey. South Carolina-Upstate won the event with its 855 (280-284-291) at the 6,337-yard, par 71 golf course. Longwood will play again September 29-30 at the Cornell Invitational in Ithaca, New York.

Longwood was led by freshman Jed Rasnick/Roanoke (Lord Botetourt) with his three-round total of 73-71-74--218 to tie for sixth-place among 92 golfers. Rasnick was followed by classmate Michael Young/Oakville, Ontario (Oakville Trafalgar) (71-72-76--219, t-8th), senior Brett Chambers/Mount Sydney (Fort Defiance) (71-79-73--223, t-24th), sophomore Greg Brouse/Leesburg (Heritage) (74-73-78--225, t-32nd), along with senior John Rosenstock/Midlothian (Midlothian) (75-77-78--230, t-53rd).
