FARMVILLE, Va.-- Longwood University men’s tennis recorded a 4-3 victory over Campbell Tuesday afternoon at Lancer Courts.  The win puts Longwood at 9-7 on the year.  The Lancers will return to action on Saturday, April 14 when they travel to George Mason for a 1 p.m. match.
    
After Carlos Garcia de Andoain/Madrid, Spain (Liceo Sorolla ‘C’) fell to Campbell’s Gabriel Delarue 4-6, 4-6, David Cardoso/Porto, Portugal (Externato Lumen) took a three set win over Marc Sifre winning game one 6-2 falling in game two 2-6 but taking the third 7-6.  Rashko Patnikov/Bankya, Bulgaria (Smirnenski) followed with a 6-4, 7-6 win over Vasja Gorjup before Brandon Lindsley/Woodbridge (Woodbridge) and Billy Heird/York, Pa. (Dallastown) fell in their respective matches.  Mani Barajas-Alexander/Arlington (Bishop O’Connell) beat Sebastian Thesleff in three sets, winning the first 6-3, falling in the second 4-6, but winning the third 6-3 for the win in the number six spot.    
    
The Lancers took two of the three doubles matches as Heird/Lindsley and Patnikov/Barajas-Alexander each won in the number two and three spot while Garcia de Andoain/Cardoso fell in the number one spot.
