FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University junior midfielder Carla Binnewies/Hamburg, Germany (Carl von Ossietzky Gymnasium) earned her second Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NorPac) weekly honor this season, after a two goal performance in the 3-1, win over Georgetown Sunday.  Binnewies earned Rookie of the Week three weeks earlier on September 11.  The Lancers will return to action on Wednesday, October 3, when they travel to Richmond for a 6 p.m. match-up with VCU.
    
Binnewies was a noticeable force in the midfield for the Lancers against the Hoyas.  The junior transfer tallied two goals in the win, scoring the first and third goal, and set up the eventual game-winner, on a shot that rebounded out to a Lancer forward who knocked it in.  In only eight games, Binnewies has tallied nine points on three goals and three assists, leading the Lancers in points and assists.
