GREENVILLE, N.C. – Longwood University placed 11th among 15 teams Saturday with a 54-hole score of 899 (300-286-313) in men’s golf at the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate hosted by East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.  The University of Akron won the event with its 872 at the 7,120-yard, par 72 Bradford Creek Golf Club, led by medalist Vaughn Snyder (211).  Longwood will play again April 6-7, hosting the annual Longwood/Hampden-Sydney Challenge at the Longwood Golf Club in Farmville.
    
Longwood was led by sophomore Mark Coradi/Chesapeake (Great Bridge) with his 75-69-75-219, good for 12th-place among the 80 collegiate golfers.  Coradi was followed by sophomore John Rosenstock/Midlothian (Midlothian) (79-70-78-227, t-40th), senior Kevin Johnson/Forest (Jefferson Forest) (75-72-81-228, t-44th) and freshman Scooter Buhrman/Fayetteville, N.C. (Jack Britt) (71-78-79-228, t-44th), along with freshman Allain Blanchard/Williamsburg (Jamestown) (80-75-85-240, t-74th).
