FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University took a 7-0 men’s tennis decision past visiting North Carolina A&T Saturday in Farmville. The Lancers improved to 3-4 this season with their third-straight win, and will play again March 24-26 at the Hampton Roads Collegiate.

Against North Carolina A&T, Longwood got wins in singles from freshman Carlos Garcia de Andoain/ Madrid, Spain (Liceo Sorolla) at #1 (6-4, 6-1), junior Rashko Patnikov/Bankya, Bulgaria (Smirnenski) at #2 (6-0, 6-1), freshman Brandon Lindsley/Woodbridge (Woodbridge) at #3 (6-2, 7-5), sophomore Mani Barajas-Alexander/Arlington (Bishop O’Connell) at #4 (6-1, 7-5), freshman Roger Torres/Bel Air, Md. (C.M. Wright) at #5 (6-3, 6-4), and junior Jon Bair/Hutchinson, Kan. (Buhler) at #6 (6-0, 6-4). In addition, freshman Austin Brawley/Virginia Beach (Frank W. Cox) won an exhibition match (6-1, 6-1).

In doubles, Garcia de Andoain and Lindsley won at #1 (8-1), as did Patnikov and Bair at #2 (8-7 [5]), along with Barajas-Alexander and senior Ian Young/Bowie, Md. (Eleanor Roosevelt) at #3 (8-6).
