FARMVILLE, Va.-- Longwood University’s field hockey keeper Erin West/Stafford (North Stafford) has been named the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NORPAC) Defensive Player of the Week.
West made 21 saves in a pair of matches last week. She recorded a career high 14 saves against St. Joseph’s including a penalty stroke mid-way through the match. She also notched seven saves against Temple the following day. For the season, West’s .725 save percentage ranks her second in NorPac and 6.60 saves per-game and 2.79 goals against average puts her third the in the conference among goalies.
Longwood will return to action on Sunday, October 8, as they host Pacific in a 11:30 a.m. NorPac match-up.
