GLEN ALLEN, Va. – Longwood University posted rounds of 350 and 347 for a 36-hole total of 697 to finish 10th among 12 teams Tuesday at the Spider Fall Invitational hosted by the University of Richmond in Glen Allen.  Campbell University won the event with its 623 total at the 6,038-yard, par 72 Virginia Crossings Golf Club, while CU’s Belen Diaz Cisneros took medalist honors at 77-74--151.  The Lancers will compete again this weekend, October 20-22, at the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate hosted by East Carolina University in Greensville, North Carolina.
    
At the Crossings, Longwood was led by senior Petra Nystrom/Stockholm, Sweden (Upplands-Bro) (86-84--170, t-26th) and sophomore Jessica Williams/Johnstown, Ohio (Johnstown-Monroe) (89-81--170, t-26th) among 69 golfers.  Nystrom and Williams were followed by sophomore Mary Carmody/Cortland, N.Y. (Cortland) (85-90--175, t-42nd), freshman Paige Miller/Charlottesville (Western Albemarle) (90-92--182, t-53rd), along with sophomore Kara Spence/Hampton (Phoebus) (100-92--192, 63rd).
