WASHINGTON, D.C. – Longwood University dropped a season-ending 5-2 men’s tennis decision at Georgetown University Saturday in Washington, D.C.. The Lancers completed their 2004-05 season with a final record of 6-14, while the Hoyas improved to 6-7.
At Georgetown, Longwood was swept in all three doubles matches for the team point, while winning two of the six singles contests. In singles, sophomore standout Rashko Patnikov/Bankya, Bulgaria (Smirnenski) won at #1 (6-0, 6-4) and junior Tobi Guennel/Plauen, Germany (Albert-Einstein) won at #3 (4-6, 6-4, 7-6).
