HAMPTON, Va. -- Longwood University dropped a 5-2 men’s tennis decision at Hampton University Saturday in Hampton. The Lancers are now 0-1 and will play again Sunday, February 27, at Norfolk State beginning at 10 a.m. in Norfolk.
Longwood garnered wins in singles against Hampton from freshmen Mani Barajas-Alexander/Arlington (Bishop O'Connell) at #4 (6-4, 2-6, 10-5) and Ross McBee/Stafford (Colonial Forge) at #6 by default. The Lancers also received a win in doubles from junior Ian Young/Bowie, Md. (Eleanor Roosevelt) and McBee at #3 by default.
