FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University dropped a 6-1 men's collegiate tennis decision to visiting NCAA Division I Liberty University Thursday at the Lancer Courts. The Lancers are now 7-8 and will play again Saturday, April 10, at Division I Radford University in Radford.
Against Liberty (8-10), Longwood won one singles contest during the home match as junior Chris Newman/Chesapeake (Hickory) won at #1 (6-4, 4-6, 7-5). The Lancers dropped the other five singles, and all three doubles pairings -- the latter worth one team point.
