FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University sophomore men’s tennis team member Steed Johnson|Ahoskie, N.C. (Needham B. Broughton) is this week’s Longwood Male Athlete of the Week.  Johnson was 3-0 in both singles and doubles at the UMW Kickoff Classic hosted by the University of Mary Washington on September 15-16 in Fredericksburg.  He won singles matches over Panayot Kusidi of North Carolina Wesleyan College (6-0, 6-3) and Brian Krouskos of Washington & Lee University (6-2, 6-3) before winning the Flight E final against Aaron Capitel of George Mason University (6-3, 6-2).  Johnson and freshman teammate James Fudge won their doubles matches over combinations from W&L (8-3) and UMW (9-7) before winning the Flight C final against another pair from W&L (8-6).
