Men's basketball redshirt senior Tra'Vaughn White extended the best stretch of his 2015-16 season last week, erupting for a career-high 28 points against Radford Wednesday and following with 19 points against first-place UNC Asheville Saturday.
White averaged 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game against the top-tier Big South squads to extend his double-figure scoring streak to six games. He hit a career-best 10 field goals against Radford to go with six rebounds, two steals and an assist as the Lancers fell 90-81 to their in-state rivals.

White's big week continued on the road at UNC Asheville where he lit up the Big South's third-leading defensive team for 19 points, including 12 in the second half.

White is Longwood's leading scorer over the past six games, averaging 18.3 points per game while also leading the team with 2.8 assists, 38 made field goals, 15 made three-pointers, eight steals and a .864 (19-of-22) free throw percentage. He is 15-of-16 from the line over his past three games and has scored at least 16 points in five of his past six outings.
