FARMVILLE, Va. - The Lancers return to the field after snapping a three game losing streak during a NorPac matchup against Appalachian State on a rainy Saturday morning. The Lancer defeated the Mountaineers 4-1, but then fell to Vermont on Sunday afternoon, falling to 1-4 on the season and 1-1 in the NorPac.
Against Appalachian State coach Byers did not waste any time seeing what his team could do as every member of the Lancer squad made their way into the game. The move paid off as the Lancers put up four consecutive goals, which beat the number of goals they scored in their first three games. The only player that did not see time was sophomore goalkeeper Erin Bollinger.

QUOTABLE:
Head Coach Iain Byers on last week: We are coming along. We still have areas in which we wish to improve on, but overall we are getting more and more confident. It was nice to get a win under our belt because I?believe it gives us great momentum for the Vermont game and the rest of the season.
Byers on this weekend: We play a tough game against Davidson and then follow that up with a game against Towson. We are looking to try and get wins from both of those games, as well as continue our progress. We keep getting stronger and more confident each time out. Both games should be very exciting.
