QUOTABLE:?
Head Coach Jon Atkinson on last week: Quite pleased with the way we applied ourselves on the field turf at Richmond. Having gone down a goal we showed true determination and resolve in getting back in contention and putting them away in OT. We played quite well throughout and controlled large portions of the game and had some great individual performances which led to a solid team performance.
Atkinson on this week: Radford have been getting some strong results and have improved their squad this year out. It should be a good game and some good football played. It will be a challenge for our lads to see if they can keep the momentum going after back to back wins. Our first ASC match welcomes NJIT to town and although results have not been going their way it is a conference game and I have no doubts they will be putting all their efforts into having a good ASC showing.
Atkinson on Kevin Chico earning ASC?Rookie of the Week: Kevin has started to settle in games and has put in some tireless work in midfield. He has been providing great minutes that will only become more and more accomplished as he plays. Bagging the OT winner against Richmond is something that is unique to college soccer and something that he will remember for some time.
