QUOTABLE:
Head Coach Iain Byers on last week: The victories we pulled out this past week are positive steps in the right direction for Longwood field hockey. Both wins are an example of both the commitment and passion that this team has. Those two things are what are going to help us to continue to move forward both this season and seasons to come.
Byers on this weekend: This will be our second match with Davidson in a short period of time, which is always a difficult thing. We look to go into that game will confidence and pose and hopefully we’ll come out with the same result as the first go around. Stanford is always a tough team, full of good players and good coaching. Going into that game we look to continue to improve and continue our commitment to our goals for the season. If we can do that then there is no reason those things shouldn’t lead us to victory.
