HOLLYWOOD, S.C. – Longwood University shot a 54-hole score of 309-310-301--920 on Sunday and Monday in men's golf to place 13th among 15 teams at the Wendy's Charleston Shootout hosted by Charleston Southern University at the Links at Stono Ferry in Hollywood, South Carolina near Charleston. The University of Georgia won the event with its score of 280-286-280--846 at the 6,919-yard, par 72 layout, while Bulldog Russell Henley took individual medalist honors with his 69-69-69--207 among the 83 golfers. Longwood will compete again March 8-9 at the Lonnie Barton Invitational hosted by Long Island University in Pooler, Georgia.

Michael Young/Oakville, Ontario (Trafalgar) with 73-75-73--221, tied for 18th-place. Young was being followed by sophomores
Bobby Fox/South Riding (Xavier, Conn) (76-75-72--223, t-30th),
Austin Gray/Midlothian (Monacan) (79-81-77--237, t-65th), and
Ross Sumner/Callao, Va. (Northumberland) (81-79-79--239, t-71st), along with senior
Adam Webb/Ridgeway (Magna Vista) (DQ-84-80, 83rd).
