FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood University freshman Christina Verhulst/Yorktown (Grafton) has been named the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NorPac) East Division Rookie of the Week for games ending Sunday, November 1. It is the second time this season she has earned Rookie of the Week honors. Verhulst scored the first goal in Longwood's 2-1 double-overtime victory over Appalachian State University on Sunday. She took a pass from Amanda Babineau/Stafford (Mountain View) on a two-on-one breakaway and scored to give Longwood a 1-0 lead. The Lancers return to action on Thursday, November 5, against Pacific University in the NorPac Tournament in Stanford, California at 2 p.m. ET.
